we would like to introduce the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA), king Saud University (KSU) as a leading Research Center which has undertaken the responsibility of transferring Information assurance expertise, and technology to the community through the training, organizing exhibitions, symposiums, workshops, and conferences and by providing consultancies to both public and private sectors, and by doing concentrated research in several information assurance areas to produce applicable products.

The Center is organize the workshop titled " Defensive & Offensive Techniques in Information Security " in the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA),  at King Saud university from 11 to 22 April 2010. The workshop will be hosted by experts and consultants in the field. The main purpose of the workshop will be to introduce the importance of the defensive and offensive techniques in modern information systems and networks to the participants. In addition, the workshop will present the security courses along with the main two training courses of the Penetration Lab, that will introduced by S.K. Chong and JH (……………)   . Finally, within the last two days of the workshop CoEIA-SCAN will conduct a global-known competition called ‘Capture-The-Flag’ which measures the required knowledge and skills to detect vulnerabilities and weakness in information systems and provide the  best solutions to cope with the situation .
