In cooperation with the IEEE-sponsored “Network & System Security (NSS)” and “Association for Computer Machinery (ACM)” in Gold Coast – Australia, CoEIA holds a workshop under the title “Frontiers of Information Assurance & Security (FIAS ’09)” through the period October 19 - 21, 2009.

CoEIA director, Dr. Khaled Alghathbar, explained that the workshop aimed to establish an academic gathering for local and international researchers to represent the latest information security technologies. Therefore, the workshop focused on the demonstration of researches and the challenges encountering the development efforts to promote cooperation among the information security and information assurance researchers. Forty researches introduced to the workshop from 13 countries, only eight distinguished researches  were approved, including the four researches introduced by King Saud University, after a fair international arbitration process.
