Expanding its activities and international partnerships, CoEIA has confirmed an agreement of mutual cooperation with SANS Institute that is specialized in information security research, training courses, and professional certificates.

 The agreement is a step forward for COEIA to achieve its vision and targets namely to be a leading center in the field of information security through alliance with internationally renowned universities and institutes to establish an IS professional community to be trusted for securing the electronic transactions and procedures besides the management of information security in both public and private sectors.

The agreement focuses on knowledge transfer between the two parties and IS training promotion through training and education chances. Moreover, it lays the foundation of mutual partnership in developing applied researches that can help solving the regional IS dilemmas.

Establish in 1989, SANS is one of the leading international institutes that provides IS training courses upon which GIAC-authorized certificates are issued. SANS also operates Internet Storm Center  whose mission is to monitor the internet through employing an internationally recognized group of specialists that comprises auditors, network managers, and IS geeks.
