Motivated by its vision to be an internationally pioneering center in information security and a premier regional source of experience in that field, Center of Excellence in Information Security (CoEIA) sponsors the activities of “Kuwait ICT Security Forum 2009” .(http://ictkuwait.com)

that are planned to take place May 5-6, 2009. CoEIA staff strive hard to support information security over the Middle East and to identify itself as one of the promising research center. On this occasion, Dr. Khaled Alghathbar – Chief Manager of CoEIA – will deliver a speech explaining the center’s mission and targets towards the society of information security in particular including research centers, colleges, etc. and the public society in general. For information security, on the one hand, CoEIA efforts will be directed to three main fields 1) Research & Development 2) Consultation 3) Education. These efforts will cover both the local and international scopes by supporting researches, consolidating the higher studies in King Saud University, encouraging students to develop researches in that field and sharpening their skills by professional training in addition to bridging the gap between the academic institutions and industrial organizations. On the other hand, CoEIA duty towards public society aims to spread the information security awareness and national security improvement.
