The Centre of Excellence in Information Assurance at King Saud University held a “Linux for Beginners” course during the period from 03/13 to 03/15/1431. The course was delivered by Eng. Khalid Mohammed Al-Musayheej; an IT specialist in open sources and Linux systems. The course provides the applicant with an introduction about Linux system, its installation, and handling with programs and files.

The Center of Excellence in Information Assurance is funded by the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education with a vision to be a globally recognized center in this field through specialized scientific research. CoEIA Director Dr. Khalid Alghathbar referred to this course as it achieves the center's objectives in transferring the knowledge and culture of open sources.
