ISMS (Information Security Management System) is the management framework to protect Confidentiality, Integrity and availability of Information assets . The main objective is that the data are protected , accurate and available conveniently to the authorized persons. ISMS is a systematic approach to manage the information security issues of an organization through Policies, Procedure and Technologies. British Standard ISO 27001 is recognized as best management standard in this area. The implementation of controls of ISO27001 through the respective best practices (as in ISO 17799) is known to provide a comfortable level of assurance in the field of information security. This course will provide the participants with a deep insight of this Standard and relevant Best Practices. At the end of the two days of the course, the participants shall start looking at information security issues from the management perspective than purely from the technological angle.
