Position Description
King Saud University (KSU) has realized the urgent need of high-quality research and education in information assurance and come forward to establish Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA) as a novel addition to its intellectual wealth of diverse specialized faculties. CoEIA is the first source of information assurance center in this region that caters nationally and internationally renowned experts in the area with a vision to conduct world-class research in parallel with internationally recognized institutes. International collaboration with top quality information assurance researchers and professionals is also a part of mission strategy of CoEIA to transfer technology and mutual sharing of knowledge to solve information assurance problems more efficiently.
CoEIA is continuing a large expansion and seeks outstanding faculty only at associate professor or full professor level (currently no positions for assistant professors level). The potential candidates are expected to establish an extensive research agenda, teach graduate level information security courses, and supervise students in their projects/theses.
Required Qualifications and Experience
> Doctoral degree in Information Security, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, and Information Systems or related fields > A well-established research track record as demonstrated by international journal publications (SCI-E) and conference papers, as well as participation on program committees, editorial boards, and advisory panels > Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and innovations > Experience in executing research projects > Outstanding communication skills and the ability to develop original research agendas. Good writing and oral communication skills are also required. Presentation of research results in the form of journal publications, conference presentations and technical reports > Candidates are expected to pursue an independent research career and should also be prepared to coordinate research projects, supervise post-graduate students and obtain external funding > For Associate professor positions, candidates should have minimum 4 years of post PhD experience at a recognized University. For full professor positions, candidates should have minimum 8 years of post PhD experience at a recognized University
