The Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA) received members from the Computer Science & Information College – Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. The members were received by CoEIA Manager of Development Dept. Eng. Abdul Rahman Al-Hindi where they were briefed about the center, its goals, and achievements as well as the services and projects it provides for the students of Computer & Information Sciences, researchers, and those interested in information security.

KSU Vice Rector for Knowledge Exchange & Technology Transfer Dr. Hamad Al Khathlan made an inspecting visit to the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA). The vice-rector was received by CoEIA Director Dr. Khaled Alghathbar, his deputy Dr. Mirza, and CoEIA department managers.

The Centre of Excellence in Information Assurance held an information security course as part of the fifth gathering of the information technology departments and units in the Saudi Ministry of Education. The gathering was arranged by General Directorate of Information Technology at the Ministry of Education at the General Administration of Education in the Eastern Province during the period from 1 - 4/5/2010.

The Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA) launched a competition entitled "The Best Information Security Graduation Project" through which the CoEIA seeks to identify and consolidate the relations with the distinguished and creative undergraduates in the Saudi universities besides encouraging them to major innovatively in the field of information security and participate in building knowledge activities in the Kingdom.
